Calm hands: doing it right today

Caught up in planning, in work to be started and completed on time, we find ourselves, despite ourselves, feeling the weight of the environmental emergencies we are all experiencing. The year 2022 is closing with satisfactions given by successful workings, continuity of historical collaborations and new projects already on the machines. Precisely our oldest engine turnings, the Lienhards of the early 1900s, will be loading us with enthusiasm and strength. They embody the qualities we need in the most difficult times: calmness and steadfastness. Continue to work with the same attitude and move despite the passing years. After all, guilloché is a “niche” craft that has gone through decades of great fame alternating with periods of relative cultural “oblivion.” We discover today with joy that, after stubbornly pursuing this complex craft, it is precisely its specificity and uniqueness that inspire us.

The union of art and technique, the possibility of continuous research and experimentation, the exchange between ideas, manual dexterity and mechanics, are our renewable sources of energy, every day
